Premiere Travel opts for MiX Telematics' Fleet Manager

Following successful evaluation trials which have seen marked improvements in fuel efficiency and a reduction in accident rates, Nottingham-based Premiere Travel Limited has elected to fit MiX Telematics' Fleet Manager solution to its entire passenger carrying fleet of 80 vehicles.
"We conducted extensive trials on five vehicles and were extremely impressed with the results," comments Matthew Till, Commercial Director for Premiere Travel Limited. "It rapidly became apparent that Fleet Manager provides considerable operational advantages which have a direct pay-off to the bottom line and, in turn, to the environment.
"During the trials, we achieved fuel savings of between seven and ten percent simply by installing Fleet Manager and encouraging our drivers to operate within the parameters of the RIBAS system. We also noted over the trial period that the number of own-fault accidents were reducing.
"Now fully installed across the fleet, we have integrated the use of Fleet Manager into our Driver CPC programme. We also constantly review the performance of our drivers and publish weekly 'scores', which appear in the form of a percentage result. Any driver who reaches their target percentage score then qualifies for a bonus. The effect has been that our drivers are now focused on meeting their targets, which is obviously beneficial for all concerned and represents a win-win situation for the company and its employees."
