Scania New Zealand and MiX Telematics set out the plan for better service management

14 October 2009

CablePrice (NZ) Ltd is the authorised dealer for Scania Trucks & Buses in New Zealand and has been working together with MiX Telematics for nearly 4 years.

Mike Baker, MiX Telematics’ International Key Account Manager for the Scania Group says, “It has been a pleasure working with the team at CablePrice over the last few years. Together we have developed a system that supports the maintenance contract for Scania vehicles, helping their customers save considerably on maintenance costs. This has been a great partnership to date and we look forward to working on future joint ventures with CablePrice.”

MiX Telematics and CablePrice (NZ) Ltd have taken the FM product range and web based services and integrated it into their vehicle sales’ process in the form of ScanPlan Max24. This repair and maintenance contract is targeted at all Scania vehicles, providing the maximum vehicle uptime levels for fleet operators. This contract ensures vehicles are maintained and serviced to the highest standards using professionals that are trained by Scania, using specialist Scania equipment and using only genuine Scania parts. Fleet managers save dramatically on maintenance costs with this Scania exclusive maintenance cover.

The technology developed by MiX Telematics makes monitoring driver and vehicle information easy. The premium on-board computer (FM Communicator), offers vehicle tracking, data recording and GPRS communications.  Accompanying the FM Communicator, fleet managers make use of the web based information service, FM-Web. This allows fleet managers to access vital data from anywhere in the world via any internet connection.

Karl Relph, National Truck Sales Manager of CablePrice (NZ) Ltd comments, “Working with MiX Telematics’ first-class product range, we are able to offer our customers value added maintenance contracts that maximise the value of their vehicles due to ScanPlan’s reputation of ensuring vehicles are maintained according to Scania’s highest standards.”
