ETS Distribution Limited

ETS Distribution Limited is a leading supplier of premium logistics services to the Contract Logistics, Warehousing, Distribution and Marketing Support sectors.  In opting for Fleet Manager, ETS Distribution was seeking to reduce its carbon emissions through a vehicle tracking solution which would also deliver significant operational efficiency gains.
 

Results Obtained

  • Fuel efficiency increased by 10.3 percent, resulting in fuel returns 3.61 mpg above industry average*
  • CO2 emissions 0.45 kg less per mile travelled compared to industry average*
  • Reduction in CO2 emissions of 648,000 kg per year, compared to industry average * for ETS Distribution's 1.5m annual mileage.

"The Fleet Manager system was capable of offering more than others we looked at, as in addition to tracking it would enable us to measure and report on aspects of driving behaviour," confirms ETS Distribution's Operations Director, Paul Wreaves. "We appreciated this could lead to significant benefits in terms of reducing the CO2 emissions of our fleet. "We began by piloting the system on six vehicles.  The benefits immediately became apparent and convinced us to roll-out Fleet Manager across our entire fleet of 24 trucks."

Transdev London

When Les Birchley,  Engineering Director for Transdev London, was looking for a fleet management solution, he ran a comprehensive series of pilot trials before equipping an initial 147 vehicles at the company's Shepherd's Bush garage with MiX Fleet Manager. Since then the solution has delivered dramatic improvements in driving style and has equipped managers with the information they need to better control the CO2 emissions of their fleet.

   

Results Obtained

  • 4,000 litres of fuel a week being saved six weeks after deployment
  • A corresponding reduction in CO2 emissions of 10,800 kg.
