GeoLocOnce you've parked your vehicle you use a simple 1-button process from your cell phone to arm the Matrix MX3 unit. Thereafter, if the vehicle moves prior to you disarming the system, the Matrix MX3 unit alerts the National Operations Centre that, in turn, will immediately begin monitoring the vehicle's movements and then contact you. If required the tracking and recovery process is activated. And just in case you were wondering, the "arm" and "disarm" calls from your cell phone are absolutely free! |

Cell Phone PositioningWant to check your vehicle's position without making a call or even logging on to the Internet? Why not use Cell Phone Positioning? Once your cell phone number is registered with us, you will be able to send a SMS to your Matrix MX3 unit to enquire the whereabouts of your vehicle. You will receive a SMS back which will contain the latitude and longitude co-ordinates of the vehicle, average speed and name of the closest cell phone tower at the time of requesting the vehicle's position. Please ensure GSM coverage is available when using this service. |

Service NotificationWith this feature, you can register your vehicle and the approved Mix Telematics vehicle service centre of your choice. When your vehicle approaches a service interval, we will automatically notify the service centre, who will in turn contact you directly to set up a service appointment. This way you do not have to worry about missing a service interval and affecting your vehicle warranty. |

NoGo ZonesImagine if you were hijacked and, for argument's sake, tied up and bundled into the boot. Not a pleasant thought, but it happens. There would be no way to notify us that you were in danger, would there? Well, actually there would. Because the Matrix MX3 unit comes pre-programmed with "NoGo Zones". What this means is that should your vehicle go into an area that we have identified as ultra-high-risk, a signal from the Matrix MX3 unit in the vehicle will automatically alert our operators and they will immediately send out the cavalry. |

Panic buttonThis optional feature allows you to transmit a distress signal from your Matrix MX3 unit in the event of a hostile situation. Care must of course be exercised to ensure that the button can be safely pressed without increasing the risk of injury. Many customers opt for a panic button to be fitted in the luggage compartment - there have been (albeit few and far between) occasions when drivers have been abducted and locked in the luggage compartment. |

Internet TrackingWorried when a loved one is home late? Now the Matrix MX3 unit customers are able to track their own vehicles simply by logging on to www.matrix.co.za. All a customer needs is either a Matrix MX2 or Matrix MX3 unit fitted to their vehicle, a computer and connection to the Internet. After a simple registration process, users have the ability to position the vehicle at will or view the past 10 historical positions of the vehicle. And the really great news is that this service is absolutely free for the first 30 positions per vehicle per month! The benefits are as obvious as the process is simple.

Just one phone call to the National Operations Centre will enable us to send you the necessary roadside assistance required and with our PinPoint GPS-technology we will know your exact location, ensuring efficient and direct assistance. Roadside assistance is only available with the Matrix MX3 unit.
Whether for the purpose of annual tax claims or monthly evaluation of business travel, what could be easier than generating an electronic logbook as you drive? Once set-up, you can have a logbook generated at the press of a button. The logbook will contain the date, location and distance per trip, which can then either automatically or manually be identified as a business or private trip.
Crash Alert will act as your angel in a potentially life threatening situation. Should you have an accident, an automatic alert is sent to the National Operations Centre and our SOS partner.
