Sales Revenues

• Sales revenues for the month were fairly stable, with the index for this area dropping just 0.13 percentage points.
• However, patronage for Winter 2008 across England dropped by 0.3% according to figures released by the Department for Transport this month.
• The slight drop in patronage in England compared to the last quarter was mainly driven by a 0.9 per cent fall in bus use in non-Metropolitan areas. However, bus and light rail journeys in England were up by 1.0 per cent higher compared to the same quarter a year earlier.
